Culver City Art Walk Highlights
We want to thank you all for joining us on Helms Avenue and inside our showrooms, at the Design Center, and in the Washington Corridor Gallery for a very special year celebrating art and design. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for our partners, our retailers, our restaurants and for you, our constant supporters.
0Small Infrastructures Exhibition
A big thank you to everyone who attended the Small Infrastructures exhibition and panel discussion at the Helms Bakery District. The evening was filled with thought-provoking panel discussions on how building assembly can provide a strong foundation for experimentation in designing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
Revisiting the James Hubbell Exhibition: In Harmony with Nature
We were honored to have the opportunity to present a James Hubbell exhibition this past April through June, 2022. The Ilan Lael Foundation's team and ours collaborated quickly to highlight Hubbell's connection to nature through a curated installation of his creations inside the Helms Design Center. Angelenos were exposed to a small but impressive sampling from the Foundation's collection of poetry, paintings, sculptures, stained glass, hand-carved doors, and architectural models, highlighting Hubbell's life-long commitment and passion to community, materials, and nature.
Projecting for Peace: Stand with Ukraine
The next in our series of Projecting for Peace takes us through a series of compelling images organized in a partnership between Ukrainian association of Graphic Designers The 4th Block and Ukranian-born graphic designer, educator, and entrepreneur Olga Severina of Poster Territory. This international poster call initiative presents “Stand with Ukraine”, a way to organize the design community, highlighting strength and unity in the struggle for human rights, freedom, and peace.
