  • Small Infrastructures Exhibition

    A big thank you to everyone who attended the Small Infrastructures  exhibition and panel discussion at the Helms Bakery District. The evening was filled with thought-provoking panel discussions on how building assembly can provide a strong foundation for experimentation in designing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).

  • Revisiting the James Hubbell Exhibition: In Harmony with Nature

    We were honored to have the opportunity to present a James Hubbell exhibition this past April through June, 2022. The Ilan Lael Foundation's team and ours collaborated quickly to highlight Hubbell's connection to nature through a curated installation of his creations inside the Helms Design Center. Angelenos were exposed to a small but impressive sampling from the Foundation's collection of poetry, paintings, sculptures, stained glass, hand-carved doors, and architectural models, highlighting Hubbell's life-long commitment and passion to community, materials, and nature.

  • Projecting for Peace: Stand with Ukraine

    The next in our series of Projecting for Peace takes us through a series of compelling images organized in a partnership between Ukrainian association of Graphic Designers The 4th Block and Ukranian-born graphic designer, educator, and entrepreneur Olga Severina of Poster Territory. This international poster call initiative presents “Stand with Ukraine”, a way to organize the design community, highlighting strength and unity in the struggle for human rights, freedom, and peace.

  • Projecting for Peace: The Work of Leonid Steele

    Projecting for Peace presents a series of images taken from the artwork of Leonid Steele, completed during his rich artistic life spent in Ukraine. From sunset until 2:00 am on the entrance of the Helms Design Center at 8745 Washington Boulevard.

  • SQUARE OFF 3 | A Photo Installation Supporting SoCal NOMA

    Helms Bakery hosted SQUARE OFF3, a photo exhibition focused on modern, abstract, and vintage architecture in Los Angeles and beyond.
