The Culver City Art Walk & Roll Festival is a yearly community block party offering a self-guided exploration and celebration of our ever-changing creative city. We are excited to partner with the Culver City Arts District in welcoming guests to make art, listen to music, watch some comedy, eat, drink, and be merry along Washington Boulevard.
If you missed the fun, here’s a recap of the happenings at Helms Bakery:
reDiscover’s Cardboard Sculpture Garden, with its giant flowers and trees, was a fantastic background for guests to add their “wish” for the earth | Helms Design Center served as CadFab Creative’s hub for established and emerging artists, comedians, and musicians | Back by popular demand was a corridor of color-saturated posters in the Biophilia installation from Poster Territory | Artists Lydia Tjioe Hall, Elise Preiss and Jennifer Reifsneider from Spool and Studio 203 joined us for a community journal workshop | It was quite fascinating to watch artist Trine Churchill painting live inside Room & Board.
And it’s official: we are obsessed with Dragon Knights stilt walkers. The giant pink flamingoes were a BIG hit on Helms Walk, with everyone wanting to get a photo with these giant birds.
We look forward to sharing art with you again next year!
