We are delighted to invite you to a book signing celebrating Ed Templeton’s newest book, 87 Drawings, published by Nazraeli Press. The book accompanies an exhibition opening January 22nd at Roberts Projects.

Because of the present COVID-19 public health situation, we will be taking extra precautions for this event by keeping the line for the signing outside and limiting contact with Mr. Templeton. Please dress warmly, be vaccinated, and wear your mask over your nose and mouth!

“87 Drawings by Ed Templeton” is the brand new, beautifully produced survey from Nazraeli Press of the noted Huntington Beach-based artist, photographer, and skate eminence grise’s colorful works on paper from the past fifteen years. Eschewing his trusty Leica in favor of pen, ink, and acrylic paints, the Tempster renders here in detail eighty-seven psychologically-charged portraits of family, friends, archetypical strangers, and his late cat Ptah. These are accompanied by handwritten titles, and a thought-provoking essay by Kim Hastreiter.
