On Saturday, April 7 from 5 to 9 pm, please join us for the opening reception of Bridges between Continents & Memories/ Passerelles entre Continents et Souvenirs, an International exchange exhibition inside the Helms Design Center.

Bridges between Continents & Memories is a collection of works from three American and four French artists using photographic images as source to create contemporary mixed media pieces dealing with memory and modernity.

American artists worked closely with the French organization, Les Seize Agnes, to strengthen the artistic dialogue between International artists. This collection of work was originally exhibited in France in 2016 at the Marie de Paris 8th, and the Mu Gallery in Paris. In 2017 Bridges between Continents was exhibited at St Glidas de Rhuys in the Mayors Gallery in Brittany, and will be presented at Helms Bakery from April 6 – 17, 2018 by appointment only.

California artists include Rachel X Hobreigh, Cris Orfescu, and Debra Dobkin. French artists include Renée Amitai, Jean Pierre Mosca, Patrick Dunand, and François De Verdière.
