Nature, Art & Habitat Residency – “FIRE: Renewal, Rituals, and Power”

December 7, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

On Thursday, December 7th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, please join us in welcoming Nature, Art and Habitat as they introduce the 2024 residency topic, FIRE: Renewal, Rituals, and Power. The evening’s conversation is focused on the role of Fire as an elemental force that has shaped the very fabric of existence on earth.

The discussion will address pressing questions such as:

  • What is our awareness of the dynamics of fire?
  • How does fire and pollution connect us and highlight issues of global justice?
  • How can materialities help protect our homes and workplaces?

Come imagine future scenarios about transforming our material culture and help NAHR investigate the many facets of fire in history, rituals, and renewal. The 2024 NAHR open call will be explored in an dialogue and through a collaborative design exercise.
