Community. Short Talks. BYODinner. Textile Arts has transitioned their popular Textile Slam! into an online experience. Please join them for a series of six-minute presentations from artists, curators, and friends. Until we are able to host them again in the Helms Design Center, enjoy “facetime” with old and new friends while hearing (and seeing!) from LA’s textile-artist-creative community.

Their special guest, calling in from Australia is Joanna Barrkman, Senior Curator of Southeast Asian & Pacific Arts Department at the UCLA Fowler Museum, discussing her postponed exhibit, Aboriginal Screen-Printed Textiles from Australia’s Top End.
Textile Arts is delighted to welcome members and friends to the line-up: artist and entrepreneur Cherise Rollins of iSpaci, punch needle artist Micah Clasper-Torch, modern quilt artist Liberty Worth, and Leigh Wishner of the FIDM gallery and author of a forthcoming book.
Access is free for members; $10 for non-members. Donations welcome.
