On Thursday, August 27th, Helms Bakery partners with the Architecture and Design Film Festival (ADFF) and AIA Los, Angeles to bring you a series of films and conversations that explore how art, architecture and design influence our daily lives.
Join us on Tuesday, May 22 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm for a special celebration and installation of AIA|LA's student competition, 2x8: Interlaced. Stop by to view work by architecture students from across the region, honor the winners, and familiarize yourself with the city's next generation of designers.
How do next generation designers envision the future of their city and individual buildings within it? What are student designers' priorities for architecture? Which conventions will they break from and which will they choose to follow? These answers can be found in the winning entries of 2x8, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles chapter's 2018 student competition, and revealed further in a corresponding live event on Thursday, June 7, from 6 to 8PM at the Helms Design Center.
