ABOUT THE ARTIST
Trine Churchill is a Los Angeles-based, contemporary painter from Copenhagen, Denmark. She received her B.A. in Fine Art from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and studied at the école nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris. Churchill works in what she describes as the “fictive landscape.” Charged yet effortless, her paintings offer the viewer a walk through scenery of symbolic meaning with a composition that combines abstract landscape with references from current life to ancient times. Her art has been exhibited in a number of galleries in Europe, California, and New York, including George Billis Gallery in LA, The Torrance Art Museum, Nancy Margolis Gallery NY, and Galerie Hübner + Hübner in Frankfurt.
