We hope you enjoyed this groundbreaking show, curated by Sekou Cooke, and the events surrounding it, including workshops, tours, fashion shows and public talks with luminaries including Ruth E. Carter and Julia Koerner, the graffiti artists Prime and Man One and the architects Demar Matthews and Kevin Sherrod.
Over 2,000 people attended Close to the Edge, and it got press in multiple publications including Dezeen and Archinect, amplifying the message of a “hip hop” approach to architecture and citymaking.
