On Saturday, February 22nd from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, please join us in welcoming Textile Arts Los Angeles and Polly Jacobs Giacchina in an exploration of the random weave technique with different flexible materials.  Medium and small pieces will be created as vessels and stuffed forms. This workshop is perfect for artists and enthusiasts looking for a basis in understanding how to create dimensional form, play with unconventional materials, and investigate how form and material can be combined for creative and functional use.

On Tuesday, February 25th from 7:30 - 9:00 pm, (Doors at 7:00 pm) join us in welcoming Textile Arts Los Angeles for Textile Slam! This event occurs three times a year and is an opportunity for friendly conversation and networking, featuring a rotating slate of presenters, each of whom will deliver an informal six-minute (or less!) slide show / improv / show-and-tell presentation.

On Sunday, March 15th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, please join Textile Arts Los Angeles and local fiber artist and spinning expert Anna Zinsmeister  for The Art of Spinning, a hands-on experience spinning Karakul sheep wool sourced from a ranch in the northern edge of Los Angeles County. We’ll discuss the method and challenges of processing fleece into spin-able material, practice spinning with a hand spindle, and learn a bit about the various types of wool fibers and their uses.
