Helms Bakery District Welcomes 2016 Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Conference
April 15, 2016 Helms Bakery
Women Chefs & Restaurateurs

We are super excited to welcome Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR) to Los Angeles for two days of mentor sessions, panel discussions, cooking competitions and celebrations on April 17 – 18. This year’s theme, “Imagine Your Dreams and Ignite the Future” will provide valuable strategies for women working in hospitality or considering a career in the culinary industry.

On April 18 – Day 2 of the conference, WCR heads over to the New School of Cooking, Arcana: Books on the Arts and the Helms Design Center in Culver City to bring you cutting-edge demos, presentations and interactive sessions. Learn how to demystify sous vide, get totally social media savvy, plus mentoring from world-class chefs such as our very own Chef Sherry Yard.

For a complete schedule and to register for the conference, please visit the WCR website.

Since its founding in 1993, Women Chefs & Restaurateurs has worked to promote and enhance the education, advancement, and connection of women in the culinary industry. Originally founded by eight of the nation’s top female chefs and restaurateurs including Lidia Bastianich and Barbara Tropp, WCR has grown to over 4,000 members and friends, with Ruth Gresser serving as the current president. The organization offers a variety of networking, professional, and support services including scholarship opportunities.
