On Thursday, September 27 from 7 to 10 pm, Tornado Creative presents Matinee: All Ages on the Bowery with photographer Drew Carolan for a special artist reception, photography exhibition and book signing. This event is a special preview of one of the many events that will kick off the Culver City Arts Walk the following Saturday, October 6, 2018. This Helms Bakery District Event is FREE to all who attend.

In the early 1980s, Drew Carolan assisted Richard Avedon on his landmark project ‘In the American West.’ When Carolan returned to New York City, he applied Avedon’s photographic strategy to capture a new youth tribe on the edge. The result is a collection of photographs capturing the beauty, vulnerability and the unbridled energy of youth during the height of the Reagan years.
