Alfred Homann grew up in South Zealand, Denmark. In 1976, he graduated as an architect from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine arts in Copenhagen. During his years as a student, he worked at renowned architect Vilhelm Wohlert’s office. Homann has partnered with Louis Poulsen for many years, creating innovative lighting designs which have been specified on architectural projects throughout the world. Homann designs with Louis Poulsen include the Homann Park, Kipp Post, Nyhavn, Pulsar 172 and many others.
