AIGA Explores the Future of Design and Activism
February 20, 2019 @ 6:45 pm - 9:00 pm
Design has always embraced activism. It inspires breath-taking work that has changed society and the trajectory of the artists career. The opportunities for expression has grown…or has it? On Wednesday, February 20th from 6:45 – 9:00 pm, please join AIGA for Avenues of Activism, a presentation and discussion in the Helms Design Center.
The category was once dominated by posters, but now the immediacy and amplification potential of social media ads and organic posts seem the natural next step. But what about the potential for censorship from the privately owned social platforms or faceless blowback.
Join the conversation — learn what experts see as the future of design and activism. Will design activism look like the past, be a complete change or a blend of both? Attend our event to find out.
