Woodbury College Hosts a Discussion on Womanhouse and WomEnhouse: A 20-Year Perspective on Feminism and Architecture

Helms Design Center 8745 Washington Boulevard, Culver City, CA
Free

Founding members of WomEnhouse, Annie Chu, Christina Magar, and Pat Morton, will discuss the past, present, and future of the ideological and symbolic conflation of women and houses through the formative lens of this groundbreaking website. With an estimated 750,000 people attending the Los Angeles Women’s March on January 21, 2017, and recent publications concerning the absence of women in architecture, questions surrounding female bodies in public space are as relevant to address on February 3, 2017 as they were on January 30, 1972. Come and participate in this timely discussion!
