FreeWe invite you to join us on Helms Walk, our pedestrian plaza on Helms Avenue, for our 7th Annual Sunset Cinema series. This year, we are craving a little action and adventure so we’ll host four weeks of outdoor screenings of some of our favorite classic action/adventure/sci-fi films. The second film in our series: ZOOTOPIA. Come by early to shop, grab a bite, or get your movie snack to go. We’ll provide plenty of chairs, so bring your friends and neighbors for a little free fun under the stars! Free Valet parking at Helms Avenue and Venice Boulevard.
ZOOTOPIA
2016 | Rated PG | Runtime: 108 Min
In a city inhabited by anthropomorphic animals who have abandoned traditional predator/prey roles in favor of civilized coexistence, uptight rabbit police officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) is forced to work with charismatic fox con artist Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) to crack a major case involving the mysterious disappearance of some carnivorous citizens. But when a few of the missing critters reappear, having reverted to pre-enlightenment savagery, it exposes existing anti-carnivore prejudice among the city’s herbivores that threatens to damage the fabric of their diverse metropolis.
ROSIES Foundation will be bringing the ROSIES Bus to Helms Avenue from 4 to 7pm, featuring an exclusive Frozen Yogurt sandwich from The Bigg Chill and Enjoyer Popsicles. Both of these products are made available from ROSIES partners who support their mission. ROSIES creates employment opportunities that empower people with diverse abilities through professional development and social enterprise.
The ROSIE bus features a special party-karaoke system where guests can sing along to their favorite songs as they order their desserts before the movie begins. ROSIES employees facilitate the karaoke experience, helping to spread awareness about everyone’s diverse abilities. We can’t wait to welcome ROSIES Foundation and rock out with you Saturday nights in September!
